I'm experiencing also a lots of freezes after ending a call (especially long calls), but I've noticed that this happens only when I'm also running HandyShell.
Whenever HandyShell is not active (I mean not even in the background), everything seems to be ok. Of course this could just be a coincidence...
Do you have HandyShell running? Does anyone experience freezes without having HandyShell installed at all?

The factory reset fixed the sluggishness!
There are a number of thing still troubling this phone. Sometimes when I turn it on the screen goes really dark and scrambled, I have to restart the phone. You must wait until the phone is fully started before you start using it, or else it acts up in a number of ways.
I found out that the problem with the sluggishness was connected to some settings, when I imported the backup I had to skip "user settings" to avoid getting the same sluggishness.
It's sad actually, I'm limited to using this phone for making and recieving phonecalls only since I'm afraid of mucking it up again...

Same here, Ive found the phone hangs at the end of a call quite regularly. Mainly when the other person drops the call rather than me ending the call. I just get a black screen, and the 3 illuminated buttons at the bottom. The only way to recover it is to pull the battery. Apart from that the phone's fairly stable. Obviously asthetic tweaks and usability improvements would be a bonus in the next firmware as well ![]()

In fact the update from the older firmware to the v20.0.012 was a looser step I did it and my phone is actong strangely since.I'm having several problems, callers' name not showing when calling if number stored in international format or not showing in received msg if stored in local format.......
In my opinion nokia must let us dowgrade the firmware, we will loose some features but it is not a big deal.
Or they must fix these bugs in the next update

WHEN ITS COMING OUT?
If they want to fix all the bugs and annoyances reported here... probably in 2017.
It is unbelievable that a mobile phone company as Nokia delivers such a product, knowing that many issues don't exist in phones from Nokia which are at least 5 years old. Don't they build up experience to improve their products instead of downgrading them ?

In my case I had upgraded the phone firmware. The phone had been bought with a comparatively early release (12.x.x.x?). After having run with the phone for a month without any significant problems, I upgraded it to V20.0.0.x, when it became available last week. Considering that the firmware had been publicised on the Nokia software update feed on 10th Feb, I figured that this would be a relatively stable release.
Unfortunately after three days with the new firmware and with no changes to installed apps / music / media etc the phone powered up and decided to go on a go-slow.
- It would take minutes for the phone to boot up. Even from the home screen, it can take minutes for the applications menu to come up, including the dialler. I would be left with a black screen (apart from the status icons), while it thinks about what to do next.
- Frequent lockups (requiring battery removal to recover)
- Phone would not transition to power saving mode (screen stays on).
- Signal strength indicator simply does not work - No signal indicated, despite the phone magically receiving SMS.
- Cannot access the camera (When I hold down the application button, I can see the camera icon, but it never comes up, and I have to close it down manually).
- The phone does not detect when I insert the USB cable.
- I cannot use the 'Factory defaults' option as it now requires a code to change and does not accept the usual suspects '0000' and '1234'.
The really disconcerting thing is that one day after this go-slow started, I actually needed my phone for a real emergency, having arrived first on the scene of a Road Traffic Accident. However, pressing the dialler button and having no response meant that I had to run for a landline to call the emergency services. It was very frustrating not being able to call for the emergency services, and could potentially have been life-threatening.
Needless to say, because I cannot upgrade the phone myself now (as it cannot detect the USB cable), and cannot restore factory defaults (via the GUI), the phone is going back to the shop at the first opportunity.

Thanks for the tip about recovering factory settings from the dialler. My phone has been up and stable since then with V20.
Would still be keen to have V21 though, especially in light of:
