e-mail options

My e-mail defaults to my wi-fi carrier. That is fine with me. But if I am out of range, how do I get it to try the next active connection such as my cell carrier? I do not see a way of adjusting the e-mail settings.

Re: e-mail options

If you have an S60v3FP2 or S60v5 device, then:

Set the access points in the order of priority that you want in the "Internet" destination.

In the "Destinations", set "Internet" as the default access point.

Tell the mail application to use the "Default" access point instead of a specific one (WLAN or packet data).

As of now, the phone will try to use the top priority access point in "Internet". If that access point is unavailable, it'll fall back on the next one etc. until it reaches the end of the list.

Re: e-mail options

I have a 5800. Sadly, setting the priorities does not help. It only tries to access the 1st connection. I even changed the connection temporarily to T-Mobile, but there is no option there for "always ask" or anything like that.

Re: e-mail options

That's weird. I have a 5800, and had to dabble with connection settings because WAP refused to connect, but if I accessed the net through Mobile Web it was fine (o2 have been having problems all year that they swear blind have been confined to London. Geography isn't my strongest point but even I am certain Manchester is nowhere near London). Anyway, when I changed my priority list in destinations, I made Mobile Web number one but if for whatever reason it won't connect to that I get a warning up saying "connect via whatever" and then it goes down the list til I accept one.

Do you not get that?
