From what I understand, you want to delete only selected messages? Follow the command string DXter posted above. However, when you get to mark/unmark, do not select mark all. Click on "mark". It will mark the highlighted message. When you go to options, there will be an entry labeled delete marked item. It will delete all items you marked.
Another handy tool is the "search" option. It may be found under Menu>Web. However using it you can also search for content in your phone, like all the messages from a particular person. You can delete those from there.

hey guys,
Thanks for your comments. I was just saying that to delete 2/4 msgs you'd have to go [options > mark/unmark > mark ] x 2 [delete]. Right? Imagine with 50/200 msgs. That's 3 times the number of msgs + 1 OR [3n + 1]
With sony they have [options > mark several > select > delete] that's literally 3 steps + the number of ticks. [n + 3]
For 4 msgs with nokia you'd have to key up to 13 times where with the sony it's half. And with 50/200, it's 151 times with nokia and 53 times with SE.
Don't you think it'd be good to have something that simplifies the process similar to SE?

Another thing you can do is select options in indox and select sort by sender and then delete all the messages by that person at once, same with date, that may save a little time !![]()
Good Luck
If I have helped at all, a click on the White Star is always appreciated :
you can also help others by marking 'accept as solution' ![]()
