Hi
I finally bought my X6 from O2 store today.
When I watch youtube videos, the video and audio are both choppy or stutter.
I have tried both WiFi and 3.5G connection and they give the same result.
I have tried my E63 with both WiFi and 3.5G (same sim card used on the X6 and the video was famtastic.
I have done a reformat and return to factory settings without improvement.
Is this X6 faulty?

I hope this is just an isolated case. Everything's packed up ready to go back to the shop tomorrow.
This is a nightmare.
Wht am I always unlucky when it comes to electronics.

Tried the handset again this morning and it works, but still stutter/judder at times. Don't know what happened overnight.
I'm going to give it more time before jumping to conclusions.
Can I ask anyone who owns the device if they experience stuuter/judder when playing youtube videos via Wifi or 3G or both.
Thanks

just for information! I just tried youtube on my x6 and didnt get any of the problems you did, have you considered it maybe down to the connection speed or somthing like that, rather than a problem with the handset itself.

Hi
I did consider that, but I don't think so as I also opened the same videos with my nearly 2 year old E63 without any problem.
I really had enough so I went to the shop and asked for a replacement but they want me to come back on Monday as they don't have stock today.
I also noticed that there's a transient clicking sound when I'm in a call. The guy said it could be a defective speaker.
I have now done a reformat and kept the phone safely in its box waiting for Monday.

The same thing happens to me after a few days of use my X6. Youtube app. provided by Ovi store acting OK ...

Do you mean you had to redownload the youtube app from OVI? The X6 came with youtube preinstalled.

YouTube app is *THAT* bad. It's not phone's fault. Use mobile version of the site via browser, you'll get playback smooth as butter.

I think this is because the YouTube app forcefully stretches the videos to nHD screen resolution of the X6. Some YouTube videos you have HD resolution, but the others that dont, well they suffer.

I just got my replacement handset today and the video is stil the same. It sucks. I even tried playing HD videos on youtube and its worse.
I hope NOkia will fix this in the next firmware update.
I wish I didnt buy this phone.

Well if the mobile site, youtube app, skyfire and bolt browser are no good for you then I suppose your only option is to buy another non-nokia phone, or a non-touch nokia such as the N86 or E72.
Good luck.

I actually contemplated on getting the E72, but I like the X6 due to its bigger screen.
I guess I have to live with it for the two year duration of my contract.

This is extremely wierd to say the least. I have a fluid playback on any 5th edition device here via browser. 5800/ N97/ N97 MIni/ X6, all are using same CPU. There should be no difference.

@ Krisq
Can I ask which network are you with? Is your phone sim free (not network locked and branded)? I'm guessing it could be due to O2 fiddling with the firmware (guess).
I have connected my X6 to my PC and tried to update the firmware, and it says it has the latest version.
I'm really not happy with this.
