So many complaints over the N97 than maybe any other Nokia release.
So many disapointments, So many faults.
Apple have won the loyalty from customers from the first Iphone release by allowing them to upgrade for free or on the cheap, Will nokia ever follow this loyal approach in a bid to win the customers back that they will lose over such a poor release?
I for one would pay £100 for an upgrade

Well the thing is, Apple did that along with AT&T. Since Nokia isn't partnered with any one cell phone company (unlocked Nokia's aren't subsidized by the carrier, unlike iPhones), they probably can't afford to do something like this.

Without getting into the issue as such, Nokia could definitely afford it, if they wanted. They are, by far, the largest phone maker in the world, and they are profitable. "Can't afford" is not exactly the phrase I would ever put in the same sentence as "Nokia", ever. ![]()

Nokia produced so many phones and yet Apple revolutionized the mobile phone market with the simple iPhone which compared to a Nokia Smartphone can't do many things!
Nokia should be more flexible imao.

All you can do on Iphone is doable on S60 3rd FP2 in one way or another.
You dont need a special program to load up your Nokia phone with apps/music/movies and so on and you can do it from any computer or download it from internet directly to your phone.
Nokia follows standards like Upnp, DLNA and WebDAV.
You dont need to send away you Nokia Phone around the world to get a new battery. You can do it your self.
You get better services on the web like OVI, sportstracker, viNe and N-Gage with a Nokia Phone.
Nokia Maps are better then Google Maps.
Nokia dosent controll what you are able to install on your phone.
Symbian are an open platform.

Am I seeing right? You are comparing OVI with Apple's AppStore???? Dude. you need to refresh your mind!
30-Aug-2009 01:42 PM
Not nessesarly the application store but OVI as whole.
But you shall not forget that Iphone appstore is controlled by the "big brother"-company called Apple Inc. In that thing OVI store is better.

Dude, am both an Apple User and Nokia User. The Nokia surpasses the iPhone in various ways. But, the OVI store is still a microbe before the giant AppStore. You should try it sometimes.
If I recall, we are supposed to help that guy? right?
