Slightly corrupted mass memory (or memory cards) are often the cause of behaviour like this. It can just happen or be caused when the phone isn't disconnected from a PC the correct way.
The solution is to format the mass memory or memory card.
The exact same thing happened to either my N82 or N96 (can't remember which) when the computer crashed whilst the phone was connected in mass storage mode.

To format your C (phone) memory you dial *#7370# but I don't think that is your issue. That code will wipe out all of your data and installed apps.
What I think you should do is format the E (mass) memory, obviously all of your contents will be wiped. You do this through the file manager app. File Manager > Mass Memory > You will see the list of folders > Options > Format.
If that doesn't solve it then the reset code above would be the next logical step.

Hi,
If you are sync'ing contacts and/or calendar with Email on 3 using an older client then this could be the reason.
You should contact 3UK and request version 7.2.4 of Email on 3. Alternatively email the guys at SEVEN directly at emailon3@seven.com.

If you havnt factory reset your phone ever and updated from 11->12->20->30 I suggest you 7370 rest your phone because. 1. You phone has alot of stuff factory installed that you might not need (like N-Gage).
2. Files from old firmwares and so on might still be installed on the phone.
If you 7370 reset you get a fresh installation of you phone. And Im sure it will work much better after that.
