Hi all...
So I'm trying to load America and Europe into my N85, and it looks like total time to download the maps and upload them to the phone will be about 6 or more hours.
This is ridiculous. What is the Nokia Map Loader *doing* besides downloading the maps and loading them into the storage on the phone, that makes it take so ridiculously long?
Anybody know?

Incidentally, I'm using Bluetooth to do this uploading to the phone; I've done it by USB cable before, too, and it's almost as slow.

I've seen slow bluetooth connections with nokia's before when the pc was using the Microsoft generic bluetooth drivers rather than the drivers specificly designed for that bluetooth dongle
you could try going to the manufacterers website and downloading the latest drivers
also I've observed before that on some phones opening or closing the slider at regular intervals speeds things up

Took me two hours + over 16MB internet and USB .
Ended up with 2GB of data for Europe when all i wanted was UK . No option to download just single country .

Try to use a USB card reader. Card readers are more fast than Nokia mobile phones.
