In my opinion the TomTom software can't handle the internal gps .
Have you contacted TomTom already on the subject?

BTW why not just using the maps application that's already in the phone ?works fine for me. + all in all it's cheaper then Tomtom aswell.

There were a couple of discussions about this recently that listed a few: try a quick search for "internal GPS".

The only one I can remember was Route66. I have that on an N80 and it works fine for me however I believe the general consensus is that, if you want to use it in your country only, then TomTom is better - though not so easy to install.

If you want coverage outside of your country - say Europewide - TomTom's not such a great idea as their maps only cover major routes outside your own county, so it's basically useless. Your best bet is then Route66 or Nokia Maps.

I think if I was buying now, I'd probably check out Nokia maps first - I believe you can buy a 1 month license to try it out.

Re: Which GPS software support N95 internal GPS receiver???

There is the following which works using the internal reciever:

Nokia maps (obviously)

Copilot

Navigon

Route66

Navicore, with a fix allegedly

wayfinder (not popular due to data charges all the time)

Having tried copilot, navigon, and route66 I am still waiting for tomtom to release version 7, which is widely expected to support the N95.

Sadly no-one can say when its due, and Tomtom wont say a word.

Hi kaohoward

There is also Nav4All which has released 'Test version' 7.4.1 using internal GPS on N95 together with assistance server. There would be a GPRS download data cost involved.:smileysad:

No version of tomtom work with the internal GPS reciever of the N95 (or any other symbian device). Tomtom will run, but you need a bluetooth reciever. As I said, this is expected to be fixed in version 7 whever its released.

I have a copy of Navicore on order, which is apperently the next best from tomtom, and with messing about, it works with the internal reciever.

I'll let people know of the outcome.
