Hello, I got this wierd thing this evening. I dont know whats this but can someone tell what is it? Please help me.
Thanks.
This isn't an issue with the images themselves, it is usually a problem with the gallery database. Sometimes the database may be totally corrupted (which looks like your case), sometimes an image or small number of images may be moved or deleted but the gallery not updated so it still tries to find an image that isn't there. You will probably find that your images a fine if you access them from File Manager.
As a solution, reformat the phone but when you do the backup first, don't include the 'user files' - just make a separate copy of them to PC using mass storage mode - this way you should not reimport the issue when you restore the backup.
In case the issue is with images stored on memory card or mass memory, you may need to format that separately.

The only issue with deleting the system folders in that way is that it can affect installed apps, I had a problem once where I did the same thing and some apps were 'gone' from their places in the menus, yet the files were all still on the phone.
Glad you are up and running again now, though.

I,ve been following your captured image corruption issue with interest.
My n 97 no longer stores captured images in ' photos' and i have to resort to the tedious task of opening 'file manager' to view all recent snaps.Hardly a cool thing to do on a spur of the moment occasion.
Does this mean i have a corrupt file too?,It will be a real pain in the **bleep** to keep dumping them on to the pc and reloading apps etc?
If this sorts the problem then fine., but what can i do to stop this happening again?
PS i do have a 'broken image' in 'photos' but when i try to delete this i have a : General; system error,: and when i try to double tap to open/ enlarge the file, it just goes light blue and have to cancel to return to the homescreen,
Any bright sparks out there to advise please?

I too have the same problem. I have tried removing the PRIVATE folder Etc But it has not worked. What is the SYSTEM FOLDER , anyone let me know How to go about it .. I would try that too. I had lots of pictures which i removed but the BROKEN THUMBNAIL is still showing.
Help please anyone.
