I have just tried to upgrade my N70 using the Nokia Software Updater and encountered only one problem.

I've posted the solution here in the hope it will help others who may come across the same problem.

If you go through the process of upgrading and it fails, and when you try to power the phone up it doesn't work - don't fear - you (probably !) haven't ended up with a brick.

If you take the battery out and put it back in the phone should then start without a problem.

The reason why this happens is because you probably have PC Suite minimized in the System Tray next to your clock - if you quit that and re-run the upgrade process it will go through without any problems.

alieniii: The language sets are built into the firmware. Usually the phone should be detected as a certain region firmware (not used the new Nokia Updater though, so wouldn't know how it shows/lets you choose). Hopefully the Updater lets you choose your locale like the software I've used in the past.

You can hard reset your device with the code *#7370# + security code
(12345 if you didn't change it)

Dear Friends,

I have N70 it's firmware was 2.0536.02 and it was working fine...until the day i did updated it to V 5.0705.3.0.1 RM-84
Then the phone comes on restarting all the time even if i only listen to songs! Also voice command 99% say no match found! Before it was perfect...
Any one have any idea what shall i do?
Is there a way for me to go back to my old Firmware?
Please help me....

Try re flashing the firmware from a site that supports arabic. That should solve the problem.
