Wearing smartphone on wrist

Hi, I own a Nokia 5230 and was wondering a nice way to wear this phone like a watch on my wrist. It is particularly difficult to hold a phone with a glove in the cold and is inconvenient to do so. A wrist-attached mart phone would also let me use both of my hands. I am thinking of something like a Pipboy from the game Fallout 3. This would particularly make the GPS feature more useful as all I need to do is look at the map and not interact too actively. I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but none of the other categories felt right. Feel free to move it should you think it is necessary.

Re: Wearing smartphone on wrist

Nice idea but you'd look pretty stupid wearing a 5230 on your wrist! The idea would work with a smaller, thinner and lighter product, perhaps something in the future with a flexible screen.

Perhaps you could adapt a sports armband to act as a wrist case if you really want to wear your phone like that?

Re: Wearing smartphone on wrist

What do you mean by "sports armband".

I am thinking of using my smartphone more like a wearable computer interfacing with my laptop. A bit like http://digg.com/news/technology/Fallout_s_Pip_Boy_is_Real_Kinda but I also want to be able to remove the phone from my arm easily if I need to.

I intend to opt for a different phone later on such as the N950 when and if it comes out so I am considering my options on how to deal with the problem I have.
