Re: WARNING: Don't dare criticise Nokia

Wow, you guys really should get out more.

You think Nokia is censoring these boards too much?

Take a look at what goes on at Apple forums:

Still feel like complaining after your insults have been removed?

Re: WARNING: Don't dare criticise Nokia

It's not exactly the best place to criticise Nokia anyway, what is there to criticise about? Nokia are a fantastic manufacturer. I have tried so many times to get away from them, but after nearly 10 years of using them, I can't. Nokia are always going to get my money, from one reason, they do what I want from a phone. I love the operating system, I love the fact I can rely on their phones, and you can do anything to the phone before it breaks! Trust me I speak from experience :smileyhappy:

I think we should give Nokia some proper credit, It must be hard to make a mobile phone that would sell in this cruel world, where all we do is moan about stupid things.

No one said Nokia phones are stupid. what we say is they should tend to customer more efficiently and slow down a bit on rolling out models without fixing bugs which is the cause of all this ire

Re: WARNING: Don't dare criticise Nokia

I didn't say they did, all i'm saying is we shouldnt criticise them, even for the bugs, they have to keep up with the market, otherwise they will lose money, they can't fix a bug before bringing out new phones, by the time they have fixed them, the phone is no longer "wanted". They should be made aware fair comment, for new models i agree.

No one denies the fact that phones do not have bugs when released enmass. The point is Nokia delays inordinately in giving
a fix or a firmware update. They usually release a new model with a "i" suffix which takes care of major bugs of its earlier model.
This creates a bitterness for those who had purchased the earlier model barely a month ago which leaves a bitter taste with the customer.

Re: WARNING: Don't dare criticise Nokia

Since my 6310i I had an E65 and now an E71. and had interesting problems using pc suite and ovi suite with both now.

shame that nokia can ship good hardware but just can't provide the complete ecosystem of phone + support s/w

Re: WARNING: Don't dare criticise Nokia

@speculatrix - For ovi suite, please whitelist it on your AV software. AVs tend to block it all the time if it isnt.

Nice name as well. Do you know Obelix and Asterix by any chance (just kidding).

On the people who say that customer service sucks - well please understand that the care centers for some countries arent really ran by Nokia (this includes helplines, contact us support, email support etc). These are run by companies who buy the rights from Nokia to represent them as service centers and providers. If any of these do in anyway give bad service or are rude or any similar complaints, I would advise you to file a written complaint at the head office of Nokia in your region/country.

Re: WARNING: Don't dare criticise Nokia

@chanchan05 - re "speculatrix" actually, yes, this is where I got the inspiration for the name, been using it for a long time now, I made it up so it'd hopefully be unique but a few others started using it too much to my annoyance.

interesting you say about nokia cust service. I know that some service centres are a sort of franchise but I'd have thought the national helplines would at least be partly run by N.

OTOH, I have enjoyed Dell customer support as both consumer and big corporate customer and know there's a world of difference, so I image if I worked for, say, Voda, I might get better support than Joe Public ringing up.
