Hello, sometimes I charge my Nokia N97 mini longer than 5 hours. Directly from wall, no from notebook. Getting You too?

As you probably know from what you write, using the wall charger (my N97's is rated at 1,200 mA) will get the job done faster than plugged onto a computer (max USB current draw is 500 mA). However, very long charge times are unusual if the hardware is ok.
Does the battery get unusually warm in the process?
Assuming all connections are good and tight, an old and dying battery could increase its internal resistance, hence the warming up and the long time. But first make sure all connections (charger to phone and phone to battery) are perfectly clean. If necessary, use electronics contact cleaning spray, which dissolves contaminants and evaporates immediately; just dont get it too much inside the phone. Can also use a can of "compressed air" to blow out lint and dust.

I just bought a nokia n97 mini weeks ago and I noticed that whenever I need to charge it can never reach full charge even if its plugged in using a plug in charger straight to the wall for 5 hours. It does not heat up, but it just simply takes time. Is this normal? this is the first time I experience this.
