V40 upgrade.... Music store unable to perform operation

HI 

after i have upgraded to V40.. there has been problem with music store usage. Frequently it displays "Unable to perform operation". I have to restart it and sometimes it works fine... i think it has become too moody after my update..:smileyvery-happy: jokes apart, i really need some fix since i have a hell lot of free music left for download... 

 

any thoughts on it?

 

also can i use the OVI maps for navigation without getting connected to Internet? i was just curious to know about it.. may be its a noob question but i wanted to clarify and was not sure to create a new post with it :smileywink:

Hi Ags,

 

I have encountered the same problem as you after the firmware upgrade! It is really "moody" and is causing serious frustration to me as well since I am unable to download music over the air anymore if it continues to be "moody". It happened too randomly as it is not possible to establish a possible cause that triggered the error message. Really hope some gurus and sinseh here could shed some lights on how to resolve it.

 

About the Ovi Maps upgrade, I have installed and the navigation works fine even without any internet connection, unlike google map. However, please ensure the map of the location you are navigating is loaded in your phone, through Map Loader via desktop or over the air download from the device.

Apart from making sure that the Maps are Loaded, go to Maps>Options (wrench)>Internet>Connection>Off, and also, Go to Location>Positioning>Positioning Methods and untick Assisted GPS. However take note that ticking that off also lengthens the duration of getting a GPS fix, which is technically the price to pay for getting free navigation.

Guys that was some really helpful answers for me to start off with exploring relevant options on the phone.

Hi....

          I too have the Problem after v40 firmware upgrade...

I found a solution also....


In Music Store Go to Options > Advanced Option > Clear Cache :smileyhappy:


But the Problem Reappears when Music Store is restarted....


I can't find a Permanent Solution....:smileysad:
