Has anybody heard when the new V20 firmware will be available on Orange?

I've tried contacting them but can get no definitive answer. All I get is "it's being tested"

My handset is Unbranded Sim-Free UK model running V12.2.026 (Custom 12.0.026.209.07)

Any help would be much appreciated.

If your phone is unbranded then Orange have nothing to do with the release. It's Nokia UK.

Traditionally, UK-specific models get updates a few months after the rest of the world so you might get it in the New Year.

Ironically, you might get it sooner if your phone was branded...

So, I'm in the same boat as everyone else on the UK mainland. Just got to wait for it to be UK released. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'm one of the lucky ones. I have very few (if any) issues with my N97.

Has a UK release date been advised as of yet by Nokia?

Orange are not as far as i know releasing a Orange branded N97 as there firmware fails during there testing.

They had all intentions of selling is back in July/Aug this year but soon took it off there site.

But yeah same boat as the majority sit and wait )

With V11 and 12 You are correct. From what I could gather from my phone call to Orange today. They are testing new V2.0  to see if it's viable.

Like I say. I'm one of the lucky ones who has no software/hardware issues so i'm quite happy to wait until V20 gets it's UK release.
