Updating N97 Firmware with a Mac?

Hi Guys,

I don't have a PC have a Mac, and My phone is not picking up the new firmware update via my phone, tried both methods through SW Update, and Device Updates in phn mangement. (my phone is unbranded, I tried multiple different country sims as well)

I would like to update my software to V2.0 on N97 how would i go about this, the Nokia site has no info, searched the net forums couldn't find anything.... Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: Updating N97 Firmware with a Mac?

Ovi Suite and NSU are windows apps.. that being said, you could run windows inside boot camp OR even Fusion (not tested other platforms) and it does work.. That is how I upgraded to v20..

It means you need an intel mac.. plus one that can either run bootcamp or fusion.. you're not going to be able to do it legitimately any other way

(on a plus note, the N900 should be flash-able from mac, linux, windows and others thanks to a command line util.. but this is for Maemo devices.. not Symbian or S40.. sorry)

Sucks that it isn't more cross-platform.. especially when I heard macs counted for 10% of laptop sales.. dunno how true that is, but its pretty poor Nokia aren't picking this **bleep** up imho!
