Unread Message Icon remains once read since upgrading to Nokia Belle on N8

When I receive a new SMS message, and read it. The unread message notifcation doesn't disappear. The only way I've found to get rid of them is to use Nokia Suite, and read them there. Otherwise the notification icon remains. Very annoying.

i have got the same problem.But it goes away once you go in the inbox.Still there should be no need to do so.I want a solution
