I previously used a Nokia N80IE until it suddenly stopped working. I am now trying to retreive my contacts and my messages. They should be stored on the memory card, since I chose to use that instead of the phone memory. But how can I find the correct files, where, and does anyone have tips on how to view them? I really need to get ahold on some of the info stored there. Thankful for any help I can get.

I don't think the messages are stored in a useful format, but rather as part of a database of messages.

Contacts, again this is a database and with the N80 I don't remember there being an option to store the contacts on the memory card unless you asked to export the contacts, in which case they are stored as vcf format in the \other\contacts directory.

VCF can be imported to outlook and to many other phones.

and when I made a quick check of messages they are stored under \private\1000484b\

but I don't think that the format is very useful.
