I have connected the N800 to my PC, the N800 shows that it's connected via the USB cable and the device shows up as a storage device when I open Windows Explorer on my PC (in fact, I'm able to transfer files to the storage card on the device.)

The problem that I'm having is that when I run Nokia Software Updater, I get the msg "Unable to find phone."

Any ideas?

That's perhaps because the N800 is not a phone and not supported by the NSU software.

I have installed this software and the updated version but it still doesnt find the device within the nokia connectivity even though it is showing in 'my computer'.

The N800 is never going to show up in Nokia PC Suite (if that's what you mean with "within the nokia connectivity", because the N800 is not a phone and PC Suite doesn't support it.

You can make the N800 memory cards visible as an USB mass storage devices, though.

I know it is not a phone and I dont use PC Suite - it is not compatible. I am using the Update Wizard.
