I purchased an 8gb card and i want to transfer msgs from my old card to new one.
So how do i do that?
Firstly how do i transfer msgs from my old mem card to phone mem?

Try backing up messages using pc suite and then restore them to ur new card

Take a backup of messages on PC using Nokia suite. Repalce the card and restore messages...

For transfering these messages to Phone memory you may follow the same procedure but change the settings : Messaging -> Options -> Settings -> Other -> Memory in use: change from  "Memory card" to "Phone memory" and perform the operation of restore without putting in the new memory card...

But how to backup msgs?
I only get the option of sendin sms in pc suite?
Do i need to download ovi suite?

I did this on my N85, but you can only do it once, it seems.

Go to Messaging/Options/Settings/Other/

And change Memory in Use to Memory Card

This should ask you if you want to transfer all your messages onto your card.

Again, you can only do this once!

In the Nokia Suite window hit the first icon (Backup).. Click against 'Backup the desired phone contents....'. Now you may see the options...

If you find this to your satisfaction, pl. hit the Green star...

I tried it using pc suite but couldnt..

installed ovi suite 2.2 and did it!
