Time auto update bug in nokia 5233

Recently i was travelling from eastern india to capital city new delhi, i observed a bug in the time auto update feature of my nokia 5233. As whole of india has a single time zone of gmt +5:30 hrs, it seems inappropriate when a cell phone goes crazy by showing time that is 4:30 hrs ahead of india standard time while travelling. I observed the same behaviour while returning back as well. Further i'm using the latest firmware (v21.1.102) and there are no updates available. I know i can turn off auto update of date and time from clock settings, but that isn't the appropriate solution. What should be my next course of action? Shall i report it at nokia customer care...any idea guys?
