In new 6700 classic the headphone button does not change radio channels. Is it  how it should work

When kept pressed it activates speed dial. When pressed once it does nothing

Have you read the manual?

Because they are usually different headsets, so there maybe some info in the manual, or it may not support fm channels

I've not found any headset that does allow you to scroll through FM radio channels tho' that's not to say there isn't one! Have you either had this capability in the past or is there something that suggests you should have this capability?

The actions you describe do seem to be the normal for a headset -eg hold down for speech etc

I also have an nokia 5310 express music where when I press the button on hands free it allows me to switch channels.

Ofcourse the radio channels are preset.

My question is whether switching of channels is not possible on 6700 classic by default or my piece is defective.

Yeah but 5310 is a music phone, built for music...(Although its consider one of the worsts)

What my thinking is that it maybe for dedicated music phones???
