got my n96 today, the message icon keeps flashing and wont go away even though my mail is completley empty.

any help please?

sa far as i know it means you have messages on your sim card still. Go to messages ---> options ----> sim messages.

that should sort ya out i think!

As rodeire said , the icon keeps flashing because of your sim card messages, check :
messaging > options > sim messages. and delete some of the messages you have there.
