My Nseries device is not functioning properly.
Always make sure that you have the latest software version in your Nokia device. You can update the software yourself using Nokia Software Updater, Nokia's free PC software. Learn more and download Nokia Software Updater at
www.europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate
If you still experience problems, you can try if formatting your Nseries device helps. Format your device by dialling *#7370#. The device will request a security code, the default code is 12345 unless you have changed it.
Note that formatting will delete all user data from the device memory so always make a back-up to a memory card or use Nokia PC Suite.
If you think your Nokia device needs repair, go to www.europe.nokia.com/repair to find authorized Nokia Care Points globally.
How do I know when there is new software available for my Nokia device?
There are several ways to be notified about new sw versions for each Nokia device:
1) Use Nokia Ovi Suite
When you connect your device to a PC which is running Nokia Ovi Suite, you can check the available updates and install them in Software Updates menu of Ovi Suite.
2) Check online
You can easily check the latest available version on the
Nokia Software Update website.
3) Update over-the-air
Many devices allow you to check and install the software updates directly over-the-air by using 3G/GPRS or WLAN data connection. Go to SW Update menu where you can check the available updates and install them. Alternatively, you can type in the command *#0000# and select Options > Check for updates.
Currently Nokia does not publish the expected release dates for new software versions.
What has been updated in each new software version?
Main updates are published on the
Nokia Software Update website.
How can I make my Nokia device's battery last longer?
Here are some of the most common tips. Note that these tips do not apply to all Nokia device models:
What to do if I get the error message "Memory full. Delete or move some data from C: Phone memory"
The device memory is low in this case and you should try to free some memory on your C: drive. Use File Mgr. application to view the contents of the C: phone memory. To get more free space on C: drive, check the following:
