Sync todo items with Outlook 2003

I have a problem when I change the due-date on a todo(task) item in Outlook Exchange Server 2003 and then sync with my 5800. What I expect to happen is that the due-date of the task on the phone would change to the new date. Instead, I end up with two todo items on my phone and Outlook: one with the old due-date and one with the new due-date.

I'm using Nokia PC Suite 7.1. Prior to the 5800, I had a PDA running Windows Mobile and I was using MS ActiveSync to do the sync and it worked perfectly when changing due-dates.
