I often get a messege telling me to set my phone to "set my phones usb mode to ovi suite or PC Suite" which I do of course but no success just fails to sync evrytime now. wish I had nevver tryed to update the ovi software now. any ideas ? thanks

UPDATE:
Ive re-installed Ovi Suite 2.1.1.245 and have had some inprovements. I can sync music with Windows media player, I can update the software on the phone from Ovi Suite and it seems to be connected in every way.
BUT..when trying to sync contacts, photos, calendar, etc .it still gives me a "Sync failed for some unknown reason" messege followed by either #90043ab4 or 380043bd4
please !!! any ideas ?
Ive read posts about checking the "phone" storage memory (210mb of 273 available)
ive seens posts about deleting cookies/cache/etc and that has helped either

UGG!!! after a few hours of partially working, it wont connect to Ovi Suite at all now. It does however work still with Windows Media PLayer and I can see it listed as "Nokia N97 mini" under Computer (where hard drives, etc are listed)

Now it says i have to "change my USB connection to Ovi Suite (or PC Suite)" whuch of course I do every time I connect it. **bleep**. been usuing this program for over a year without ANY problems, now it really **bleep** me off
please any ideas ?

I'm finally happy to say Ii found a solution to this problem in another forun on this board.
The problem comes from the Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver. by repairing the driver the issue was fixed.
1. disconnect phone from the usb cable on your computer
2. on your computer go to Control Panel > Programs & Features.
3. A list of available programs on your computer will list. clik on " Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver"
4. click the "Change" button at the top of the menu
5. the Nokia Connectivity Driver dialog box will open
6. Click on "Repair" button. The program will reinstall/repair the Nokia Cable Driver (the repair took a little while so be patient)
7. restart your computer
8. Connect your phone again. Windows will reinstall driver software again automaticlly as it needs (again be patient) and...Success. Phone once again connects & syncs as it is supposed to
