Switching from 6230 to 5230

Hi everybody,

I have just purchased a 5230 Nuron. It seems to be a cool phone. The problem is that I have been having my old 6230 for quite a while and right now it has so many useful data on it.  I would like to transfer all the data (messages,contacts,...) to my new 5230. Have no idea how to do it! Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Re: Switching from 6230 to 5230

You should be able to use the Switch application on the 5230 to transfer your data across. On your 5230, goto Applications>Phone setup>Phone switch. Start this application and follow the prompts. Only transfer what you need like contacts and messages.

Thanks a lot and sorry for my delayed response. The Bluetooth connection gets disconnected after a few seconds and prevents full transfer!

Re: Switching from 6230 to 5230

An alternative would be to sync your messages to Ovi Suite on your PC. It would then have copies of all your contacts, calendar, messages, and some other stuff on your PC. And when you sync your 5230 right after, all those stuff will be transferred as well.

On your 5230, Go To Applications>Phone setup>Phone Switch. Start the application & follow the instructions as prompted.Select the required files to be transferred.
