Social app stopped working on N8

Recently the Social app has stopped working. Neither Facebook nor Twitter connect, they say 'unable to connect to gateway' irrespective of EDGE or Wifi(I don't have 3G here), even though I can open both sites perfectly on the phone's browser.

I've rebooted the phone etc, but nothing helps. Anyone else face this?

I'm using a Nokia N8-00 with PR1.1

I am also facing the same problem from about 10 days now? I don't know why this error is coming up?Can some one answer how it can be corrected?

Same here since the last 3-4 days .. I suspect it to be a Nokia infrastructure issue.

 

Other internet access & using facebook via Opera or defalt browser works fine.

CAN SOMEONE FROM NOKIA ADDRESS THIS ISSUE?

Welcome To Nokia . . . HA HA HA HA

 

Went to Nokia Care .

Every time i go with a problem to Nokia Care the only option they say or rather have  is Software Update. .

 

Tired of these small small issues again and again .... Hope some responisble person from Nokia replies back or gives a solutions to this problem .

 

Just dont open a forum for discussion but also give us a solution.

We in the Discussions team work closely with our colleagues at Nokia Care and we aim to provide a consistent service across all Nokia touchpoints in all the 100+ countries where customers can call or email Nokia.

Sometimes we are able to publish information here on the forum faster than at Nokia contact centers. So while it is nice that we can quickly respond to some issues here, it also means that sometimes the other Nokia touchpoints are not necessarily yet aware of all issues in all countries. We will use this case and your feedback as an example that helps us improve our processes.

OK now it's working again. I launched it today and it said 'service updated', after that FB and Twitter updates are back to normal.

I'm using a Nokia N8-00 with PR1.1
