Select Access point won't go away - Nokia 6680

Hi, Can anyone help me please. After being sent a new phone on contract by orange, I use my old 6680 when in Jersey. I unlocked it, but since keep getting Select Access Point whenever I try to do something. I have a Jersey Telecom sim card, and have tried deleting all access points, then getting sent new settings by Nokia, and selecting one to use for the access point. But the select access point message still keeps coming up. It is driving me crazy??? Thanks for any help.

Re: Select Access point won't go away - Nokia 6680

Hi

Generally there are 3 or more access points on the handset:

1) GPRS WAP
2) WEB
3) MMS

Each of these services needs an access point set as defualt in order to work. If you cancel the 'Set Access Point' message can you:

a) Make and receive calls
b) Surf the internet
c) Send and receive multimedia messages

If you cannot do any one of these items then that is the access point you need to set a defualt for.

Re: Select Access point won't go away - Nokia 6680

I am having this exact same problem on my e61. I deleted the access points from my old provider and setup new ones and now I get prompted over and over for a connection. It is even crashing the phone. So how do I check that the three defaults are set? Where do I set them?

1) GPRS WAP
2) WEB
3) MMS

Where are they defined? I can send MMS, and when I go web I am prompted for an access point anyway... Where do I find GPRS wap settings?

Any help would be much apreciated.
