Just upgraded the FW to the new V20 in the UK via NSU. No problems, went very smoothly. However after update i checked the memory via file manager and it says that the C memory is now only 20mb wheeras before the upgrade it was 28 mb. My belief was that C memory was supposed to be freed up with V20?
I did not do any kind of reset before the upgrade, would that free up memory and if so which one do I do and which keys etc are involved?
Thank you.

I recommend that you reset by dialling *#7370# this code wipes the phones memory completely so be sure to have a backup.
Before the reset I didn't notice much improvement in performance or any significant memory gain (around + 2to5mb). After the reset the phone is very fast, very stable and I have nearly 60mb free (I install all apps & themes to mass memory).

Thanks PM, I did that and my C memory has gone up to 45 mb - not sure how you got 60mb as I can't see any applications to delete in file manager that are on the C drive!
Never mind, am happy with that, my particualr N97 has been more or less fine since i got it so I'm hoping for even better things now.
