Hi,
I have a Nokia N96, I'm unable to play videos from the Real Player. I transferred a few videos from the PC using Nokia Video Manager. When I try to play the video, it gives me a error message - "Unable to play either sound or video clip - trying to play partially". I tried transferring another video using Ovi Suite, but still get the same error. I also tried recording video on my device & tried playing it, but still get the same error message. I'm unable to play the videos recorded from the device. I updated the firmware of the device twice. But couldn't get rid of the concern. Can anybody help me on this???
Device Firmware Version: 30.033
RM - 247

Hi,
I tried changing the bitrates also...I'm using Videora converter. My concern is...I'm unable to even play the video recorded in the handset.

Now that really redicules me. I think the problem is now related to your phone's real player. If you had already installed the latest SW, I suggest you to do a factory resetting (*#7780#), if it fails then a soft reset (*#7370#), even if it fails then the 3 fingers hard resetting.
If none of this things work, I have nothin left to say.

RealPlayer is garbage. Period. It never has been good, it never will be good. I fail to see why nokia uses Real when there is so many other players out there - my guess is Real is cheap to license cause it is trash, and Nokia figured that nobody would notice that their video player supports almost ZERO codecs.
CorePlayer is better.
Personally I have been waiting for VLC to be ported to Symbian - there are some guys working on it, should be up in a month or so. VLC plays EVERYTHING. Here is the link - the website is terrible but...

The N900 based on linux should be the first Nokia that can actually play media - and its NOT RealPlayer. First smart move on Nokias part in a long time.

Hi,
To Hard reset your mobile, Switch Off your mobile, then press the * (Star Key), Answer key (Green) & Number 3. Then switch On the mobile. Wait untill you see the Nokia Logo. Then release the keys once you see the Logo. Don't forget to take a back-up of the data before doing a hard reset.
