Hi everyone, ive been trying most of the day to install python from various different sources and various releases all the way up to the current beta version. Im currently trying to install the xpress beer app, and with every version of python there is a problem, either it wont install or like the latest beta version, it directs me towards software update and tells me to update the files required for python to work. All thats in the software updater is maps as per usual, no matter how many updates you do for maps theres still another one there. Anyway, is there something im missing? Im sure others must have got the beer app to work, why am i having a problem tho? I managed to get the nixie clock working on python version 1.3, but not on any other version. Are apps python version related? The ultimate question is, should i just get shot of the N97 and get a phone that has been developed properly?
Cheers

For running Python applications you need to have Python runtime and its dependencies installed on the Phone. You can download the runtime and its dependencies from maemo.garage https://garage.maemo.org/frs/download.php/6347/Pyt
Python runtime and its dependencies are still not registered on IAD server for N97, so autoinstallation of runtime and its dependencies is temporarly not possible on N97.
Refer getting start guide from PyS60 online documentation http://pys60.garage.maemo.org/doc/s60/s60.html for any clarifications
