I bought a N78 few days ago, I was so happy with it until problems started to pop up

The phone restarts from time to time for no reason even after the latest update 12.046 (today).
it's very random and usually while Iam not looking at the phone, I just hear the startup nokia melody.

It hangs alot usually when dealing with music and gps and Wireless (I dont know if the update fixs that yet)

sometimes the back button stops working for some seconds while other buttons work (not a hang)

I want to remove wap connection settings and couldn't find where, because the phone keeps connecting to the wap and I find myself with no credit when in need! It configured it automatically on the first run.

the Directional pad started losing the silver paint on the 3rd day and now it looks ugly (black scratches), for a 5 days old phone ... I could cry

I would re-install the software mate, that may fix these problems your having.

Regarding the wap connection, just delete the access point.

No advice for the pad mate, but surely that shouldn't happpen to a brand new phone.

I think I'll take the phone back to the dealer, the D-Pad gives the feeling that the phone is old and everybody thinks I bought it used!

and really the D-pad started losing the color from the second day! and it's getting worse hour after hour.
this is the 6th day and the pad now looks really ugly!

Yeah, D-pad should definetly last longer. Just take it back. And what comes to bugs you mentioned, I haven't had any of those. N78 (12.046)

Hi.. I dunno wether the v21 is available in your area but today it became available in mine check it out..

About the WAP.. just go to: "Menu - Tools - Settings - Connection - Destinations - WAP Services", select ur WAP access point and press the center button for Edit, scroll down to the bottom and change "Use access point" from "Automatically" to "After confirmation"
