By the way, going back to my earpiece problem.
Is there are way to fix it without opening the phone?.... It's like when calls are being done (incoming & outgoing), i could hardly hear or totally can't hear a thing. But sometimes, when i change my position or location, i can sometimes hear but could get lost easily.
Another help please!!!
You can press the top portion somewhat so that the earpiece would touch the board (internally). When I had this proble, I used to do the same untill I open my phone. All the best.

Hello,
I am having the ear piece problem in my new Nokia 5800. I cannot hear what the people on the other side speak.
I am reading all these discussions and I see that I have to take this to Nokia.
But, where do I reach Nokia> Should I call them or is there any address I need to mail them?
Please provide me the details.
Thanks Much.

How do I type special characters like €, {} or [] on the QWERTY keyboard? Do I always have to go through the alphanumeric keypad to reach them?

This is for those who try to become a nokia brand ambassador suggesting people, who are putting forward their problems, to return the phone and get another one. Someone who has invested his hard earned money into something has full right to complain if there's any problem or dis-satisfaction.
I think it is good to invite problems in this way so that things get compiled at same place and everyone is informed, that is actually the whole idea behind forming such forums / discussions. Otherwise, have you ever mailed pizza hut, saying that the pizza you had today was great? This compilation of complaints is not only useful to similar users but for nokia also, so that they get to know if ther are any issues relating to their product. Do you think any company like nokia will keep a section like this in their website, where you write anything you want? They tolerate all this junk because they also want to have a clue. How do you think nokia released a firmware update 11.0.08?
The level of satisfaction or dis-satisfaction varies from person to person. And what someone writes here depends this level. It may be positive or negative, everyone has the right of expression.
So please dont comment or discourage anyone by using unpleasant language.

Decent point but not of relevance in this forum.
This particular forum is for technical support and information exchange. It is not a personal forum to vent your frustrations at Nokia. There is a Contact Us button for that. Nokia does not read these forums nor should they. Once again, Contact Us is where you go to unload your displeasure.
Many use this forum as their personal venting stage and then quickly move into troll status by posting their displeasure over and over. No one here has said that people can not be frustrate not to expect more for their money, but this is not the place to share their displeasure.

Classic example. Posting in all caps is generally considered rude and shows a lack of Internet etiquette.

dear dubeyniraj76 ,
I hope, no one is nokia brand ambassador here.....I am sure that i am not....
U know, this is my first Nokia phone...previously i had Motorola...still i like those phones...
Exploring new things is fun and a kind of developing your skills....everyone is here doing the same...
For even Nokia, people like us someone is designing and developing the mobiles....ofcourse, they sell it to us....
so everyone is in the part of game....
finidng mistake is very simple...you can find mistakes in each and everything...
we should learn to appreciate the things first.....
otherwise we should buy any old proved model....so that we dont find much bugs...
Finidng new bugs and finding solution for those bugs are enjoyable...
and its a platform to learn new things.....
I only suggested to a guy to get another handset....coz he started to hate his mobile...whenever he see the mobile, he is gettign annoyed...this is ultimately affecting his happiness in his life...so i wanted to help him and not promoting anything...after all, i am not going to get anything out of it...
we buy new things to be happy and not to worry...
I hope you understand...
Thank you..

Tell me sapporobaby . Is it personal ? 'm in your way to achieve a big paid job at Nokia? Or is it the 5800? Did the bugs inspired your malice? 'm I not entitled to be disappointed of spending a lot of money for a 30% working device? With those caps I wanted to point out exactly what you said: some people post here literature and not technical info.
all the best

It appears that reading is also part of your problem, as I work for the State Department but we do not have to go there.
As I said, this is a technical, "hey can you help me" forum. Not a: "Nokia did this or that wrong forum". No one said not that you can not express yourself, but this forum is not the place for it. The Contact Us button is your window in to the wonderous world of complaints. Take a look. I have no malice towards anyone, but I do pity someone who's life revolves around being a serial complainer that can not follow the most basic of rules and then blames someone else.

Update : I managed to fix the 'net browser's "problem" by doing a soft reset again, this time though i also removed the SIM card when doing the fix, i don't know if that's that did it but the problem with the net browser crashing/hanging is now gone.
Anyway, about the "expired certificate" now : I've been reading many forums and the common method suggested is the usual one (either change the date and clock manually to a couple of months back/a year or performing a *#7370#) the thing is that this method seems to work only for some users and not all...
My question is : What should i do about it? Nothing seems to work for me,so it's either A) take it to a Nokia Centre and B) Wait for a new FW to be released.Another thing i want to ask is IF a new FW release will be able to fix the aforementioned problem ("certificate expired").
So, what do you suggest guys? The Nokia Centre is pretty far from where i reside and i don't know if they'll even be able to fix this problem since when i called them yesterday they were pretty oblivious regarding tthe whole thing...
Thanks
