I bought Nokia N 73 on July 5th 2008 , since 1st day facing battery backup problem , went to dealer he said I would have not charged the battery in proper way and I should charge it again for initial 12- 13 hrs , though I have done so on 1st day but yet I did again , he also told about not so good quality of Nokia phone now days , I went again to him when my problem was not solved , they diverted me to Nokia care , over there after lots of argument they changed battery , yet problem was not solved , I submitted it to Nokia care again after amore than a month they returned it but yet problem was not solved , again I approached them after lots of pursuance and effort the set was changed , but adding to my frustration the problem still persist , I have called customer care at banglore couple of time but there was no resolution ........what should I do , I spent approx Rs 11500/- and its painful to see the value i got after spending so much ......it resale value is approx Rs 5500 in the resale mkt ......what should i do

We could try and help, but all you have done is explained the issues you have had with local nokia care and not the actual problem you are having with the phone. If you explain in detail the actual issue then users here can see if they have experienced the same.

battery backupis approx 1:50 min only where as Nokia claim it to be more than 4 hrs , I had been using my phone only for calls not for music or any other battery consuming activity .I have checked the backup time through call duration function of the mobile

So you have low battery life?

Mine still lasts a couple of days with an increasingly useless battery.

So on yours it sounds like either a bad battery, or a bad charging circuit on the phone. Either way it will require a Nokia service center to assist.

The backup should only be needed if you take the main battery out, there shouldn't be any reason to take the main battery out unless you are not using the phone for weeks.

battery charge improves over a couple of charging cycles.
