If I format my n97, will it delete my data in mass memory?
I really need someone to answer me, pls help

You will lose all the data if you 'format' it, that is to say you can format E mass memory and it will clean the disc. You cannot format C the phone memory !! If you back up your contacts and Calendar ONLY , NOTHIING ELSE, then dial *#7370# followed by 12345, you will perform a soft reset, this will clear C and reset the phone to out of the box (but without affecting software version or ANYTHING ON E) you will then have to set up your phone again as though you had just received it new.

Wasn't correcting you Chan just pointing out the difference and trying to clarify the situation. On the phone itself you have the option in file manager to 'format' E, you do not have this option in C phone memory, and I didn't want the guy to wipe 32gig of photo's, music and video if they missinrerprited the advice, that's all ![]()

ok, i meant, if i hard reset the phone, but not formatting the E mass memory, will it delete the data in my mass memory?
