Hi folks,
I've started using the camera on my N97, and to my suprise after taking loads of photos (stored to Mass Memory as default), none of them appear in the Photo Viewer (Photos). It just say "Captured No Items". I can view the photos by locating them manually through File Manager, but what's the point of Photo Viewer if it doesn't detect any of the photos on my phone?
Has anyone got any suggestions how I can fix this?
Many thanks

Hi mate, running v11 firmware. Performed a factory reset and mass storage format. Still can't get it to work.
I'm guessing a bug.

I have the same problem. did you figure out how to fix it?
the most annoying thing is that the Facebook App use the Photo app to locate photos to upload.
Cheers

Haven't figured it out yet, but will post if I find a solution.
The problem is, I'm trying to find a solution to a whole host of other problems on my N97, e.g. The problems I'm having with GPS (Maps 2 and 3 are both currently unusable), the problems I'm having getting my widgets, email etc to detect which connection I need using etc, the problems I'm having with reception, the problems I'm having with my ringtone etc. So this photo viewer problem is just another issue to add to the list.
As for the Facebook App, if I take a picture using the camera link within the application, it won't let me upload anyway, so I've stopped using it. I just use the standard Facebook Mobile site as the Nokia Facebook App is so slow, it's borders on useless.

Guys go the the OVI store there is a New PHOTO BROWSER in there which is a lot better and nicer than the normal one that comes with the phone.
Is still a beta version so there are still some stuff to be fixed, but I found it very cool.
Try it and let me know

What firmware v12? I thought I had the latest one which was 11.
Where did you get this new firmware? how? Are you locked to a particular network?

v12 was released a few days ago, but it isn't available yet for your product code.
It will probably be available in a few weeks for you. Keep checking NSU.

Unfortunately I spoke to soon, for some reason, the photo viewer has stopped working again.
It worked fine after the upgrade and a hard reset, but once again, if I take a picture with the phone it doesn't show up in Photo Viewer, I have to manually find it in File Manager.
What a waste of a good camera. *sigh. Maybe in v15 then.

Thanks mate, but they're not displayed there either.
I've no doubt this bug will be eventually fixed. But this basic feature, the ability to convieniently view the photos you've taken, should work from the day of release.
I won't be buying a Nokia again for a long time. I gave Nokia my loyalty this time after being a happy N95 user, but next time I'll do as everyone suggested, I'll get an iPhone. I'm tired of 101 different things not working with my phone. £500 for a buggy, useless joke for a phone. Never again.
I'll keep everyone updated though, if I find a solution.
