I know this has been asked a trillion times before, but I'm pretty sure I have tried most things, and I still only have about 13mb left and declining. I have lost a mb just today. Don't know how.
I have cleaned my web browser cache, store the messages on mass memory along with photos and videos. Make sure the applications are storing to mass memory. I'm really struggling to find where all the memory has gone?
Any ideas?

Have you removed the share location stuff from installed apps, and do you have wikitude installed with QT both can be removed to get C space back. Or if you're prepared to soft reset you will get the most space available on C, just be very selective in what you re-install !

Sorry mate, your gonna have to help me out a bit more...
I don't have Wikitude installed, and may i ask what share location is and what do i have to do with it? and i know you go to file manager to delete it, but what do i delete?
I'd rather avoid any type of reset please, but my phone is so slow. i keep clearing the cache on my browser but it's not gonna keep it up for long, most i can get it up to is 14mb :/

The share location stuff with maps is also in installed applications and can be removed without it affecting the function of the Navigation, you just won't be able to 'share location'. Also I assume you clear the privacy data in the browser fairly often ? I really wouldn't use any Nokia updates except phone software as they all insist on installing on C.
Also have you removed Facebook and Accuweather from C and re-installed on E ? And when checking default for saving messages in settings-other in messaging, make sure you delete all the messages on C before setting it to E.
If you bit the bullet on doing a reset you would have about 60 meg on C and if you were careful about re-installing apps (just Maps really, minus the share location stuff) you could end up with about 38 to 40 meg ! I also remove Ovi store and just go to it on the web.
Good Luck

i used to have a problem like that with my n70. cleared the memory declining thing by reformatting it. maybe it could work on the 97

Thanks everyone
I done all of that and I have managed to get myself back up to 20.9mb ![]()
Just a few more questions though, I would rather have Nokia email than not have it, so is there a way that I can download it through Ovi and install on E: or can you not do that?
Also, I removed share location, but next to it is Nokia Maps which uses up 9mb on C:, is there also a way I can remove that and get that installed on E: ?

Ok, bit later on in life and welcome back to the same problem!
I followed those tips above, and it worked for a while...I have done nothing different, constantly clearing my cache, and now I'm back down to 13.4mb.
I don't know where the phone memory is going at all?
Any ideas or help?
Also, should I update my firmware/software on it? And would this sort out my phone memory too...I don't have the latest version, the one before it.
Many Thanks ![]()

I would always update to the latest version possible, but unfortunately it always helps to reset with an upgrade, try without if you like but you'll get the best improvement in performance with a reset !
Good Luck

Thanks
I really want to leave resetting or upgrading and that as a last resort due to finding the time to do it problems. Also, I have an upgrade in 3 months so am trying to hold out in a way.
I have now deleted Maps which has free'd up 12mb, is there literally no other way how i can keep the phone memory up?
It seems to slowly go down with time :/

The main thing that tends to eat it up is the cache, if you clear that about once per week , your memory should stay fairly stable !
