Just today I updated my 5800 to v50, I also formatted the memory card and did a hard reset. after all this I recovered my person data and tried to update Maps using the Software Updater, it failed. I then opened Ovi Store and tried to install it from there, it failed (the store just closed). As a last resort, I downloaded Maps to my PC and tried installing it through PC Suite and this time I got an "Unkown Error -5". I even tried uninstalling Maps and then going through all of the above methods. Has anyone else gotten this problem? I can't figure out whats wrong. Please help.

When you say you tried to install through PC how did you do it ? I just download to pc, drag to phone memory card, open file and install that way, usually works fine !
Good Luck
One point, if you restored your phone after reset, that could be the problem, you should only restore contacts and dalender, settings can cause conflict, try soft reset and just restore contacts and calender, could remove the 'glitch' !

You right, normally I would just download to my PC and install from there, and everything would just work. I will try doing one more hard reset and then just restoring only my contacts and stuff. Will let you know if that worked...

Thanks...that worked...I reset the phone and installed all Nokia apps before restoring anything, then I only restored my contacts and stuff. Thanks again.

Hi all,
I have an issue with installing 3.04 as well. My phone is a N97. The download file is about 9 Mb large. The free space on my phone memory was around 16.6 Mb. Despite that the installation fails due to insufficient memory. I have tried a couple of times to download the 3.04 version (now I have 3.03 on my phone) but it continues to fail for the same reason. Has anybody faced the same issue? How to get this solved? Or should I just stay on the older 3.03 version?

If you go into installed applications and remove all maps installs (ovi and Nokia) you should create enough space to install 3.04, but you really need to check what else you have on C, I still have over 20 meg with maps3.04 and Java runtime 2.1 installed (which both take up a lot of space)
Good Luck
