Tried it,mate.
Its faster than b1 but still requires lot of finger scrolling when zoom is set to 160% on my 5230.

I currently use Opera Mini on my N97 and love it.  I tried Opera Mobile, but it was slow and shuts down often due to lack of memory.  I'm going to give this beta 2 a try in the next few days.  I really like the look of Opera Mobile over Opera Mini.  Hopefully, Opera Mobile is more stable and fasters.

Opera Mobile beta is installed as a separate application to Opera Mobile.

Do you know how to transfer/copy the Bookmarks and Start Page from one to the other so I don't have to do them all over again?

Install Opera browser on your computer, set up an Opera account and activate Opera sync, my phones and all versions of Opera and my computer will all sync homescreen and bookmarks !!

Opera mobile's UI is the same as compared to mini..
Its just the page rendering which is different.
O mobile is a full browser while all opera mini pages are passed through servers and are compressed.
Thats why it is fast.

I tried the Mini and the previous version of Mobile. I like the Mini more for most of the sites I visit. Why would I want to use the Mobile version instead of the Mini?

I too like the mini more..
But for sites heavy on JS,mobile's the way to go.
And also,mobile supports gif images and timers,which mini doesnt.

Opera Mobile causes nothing but grief for me.  It constantly runs out of memory.  I never have this issue with Opera Mini.  There are probably only a few sites I visit that Opera Mini cannot handle well.  Mobile is just always slower than mini.

Yes it is.
Enabling turbo in settings may speed up things a bit.

I was using the turbo setting and it is still slower than Mini.
