OVI Store stopped working! Does not start at all, no error messages etc. Only the blue/green OVI screen for a while and then..Nothing. Tried WiFi without SIM, tried rebooting, tried reinstalling OVI store again. No help. What could be the problem? All other apps work perfectly.

Hi

Do you have a SD card installed ? if so have you any folder with similar names to sytem folders - I had a similar situation where I had a folder called resource on SD card which mucked up OVI completely - if you have a SD card installed try it with out to test.

Had a similar issue last night,

performed a 7370 on the phone then restored from backup,

OVI store opened to the green screen then crashed,

 QT apps refused to install

solution was to do another 7370 reset,ovi store still not working

so installed bubbles from beta labs,

this installed fine and after a reboot ovi store worked again,

could then restore from backup and re install apps without probelms

If you have performed a reset recently then may be worth a try

I had similar issue with E7 recently and deleted Ovi store , then went to it via web browser and offered download , that sorted it , but there do seem to be various issues with it relating to the version of QT you have installed !

ok you need to download qt SDK 1.1 from this link

once you have installed this on your computer go to your start menu click on Qt SDK,  then symbian^3 Qt 4.7.3 , then select install the Qt files and TRK debug files onto your device (you will have to connect your phone to the computer through ovi suite via usb cable) then try your ovi store!

this worked for me.

if all else fails opt to install the other versions from the same place onto your phone. one of the files in the package will be missing off your phone this will just replace it.

guess what.. last January I do a Hard Reset on my N8 and since then, I cannot install the Ovi Store anymore....  I tried searching blogs on how to fix it but non of them work.. This afternoon,  i click the software update on my N8 and surprisingly there's ovi store listed and I updated my phone accordingly hoping that it will fix the issue. After 2mins - it is SUCCESFUL - it was installed  and when I click the icon for ovi store, it ask me to get the new version and I can t believe that after 6 months NOKIA release an update to fix this issue... THANKS ALOT Nokia. Hoping that the Symbian Anna update will be released here in the Philippines by August.

I had the same exact problem.  After backing up my data.  I did a hard reset (hold down volumn down button, camera button, menu button, then the power button).  Re-installed both Anna 1/2 and 2/2, then re-installed OVI... it works perfect now.  I was able to download all the Applications in "My Stuff."  I hope that helps.

Im havin' problms too... My N8's ovi store ain't working... N i can't install a new ovi store or even dele the ovi store
After upgrading to anna, im unable to install anna 1/2 update... Plz help!

Some are saying that removing the smart installer from the applications list clears the problem
