Re: O2 UK PAY MONTHLY SUBSCRIBERS READ THIS

I don't see why e2save wouldn't let you take out a new contract with them

I know none of the networks have the 0844 and 0845 numbers free but on O2 they were billed at local/national rate which means you can use your free minutes to call these numbers, the fact they will be charging 20p/min from September has put you at an unfair advantage (if you used the numbers) and this is why they have agreed to disconnect you

Congratulations :smileyhappy:

Yes, I got a letter from them two days ago saying "sorry you want to leave us but if you change your mind please call 0800 blah blah blah.........

Funny how they have a free phone number when they really want you to contact them!

Does e2save have the Nokia N76?

That's a bit harsh.

From my experience they are a lot better than orange and vodafone with much better customer support.

Plus they don't over-customise the phones or lock the handsets.

And don't forget they were the last network to start charging for 08xx.

Re: O2 UK PAY MONTHLY SUBSCRIBERS READ THIS

Exactly Pshyco, why would anyone want to be with Voda or Orange, in my opinion they are the most expensive networks going and heavily brand their handsets so much so it eventually screws them up! O2 are the best by a long shot followed by T-Bag then Voda and Orange are equal and 3 last

What happened to BT Mobile? is it still going?

My only gripe with O2 is severe lack of network coverage out where my mum lives (the back of beyond) T-Bag have the best network coverage out there if I remember correctly

Every network has areas like this.

There's a mid-sized village about a mile from me that doesn't get any voda coverage at all, the other main networks all work perfectly.

I've been considering switching to virgin because of the £25/month text tariff and because of their excellent UK based customer services. Only thing that puts me off is the poor selection of phones.

The one thing about O2 that's annoying is that things like text received notification and voicemail waiting to be picked up notification are completely non-standard.

Been on a new CPW 18 month contract since March. Got them to disconnect it free today (took 40 minutes but finally ground them into submission).

Disconnect in 30 days, PAC in 4-5 days by text and get to keep my unlocked N73.

Re: O2 UK PAY MONTHLY SUBSCRIBERS READ THIS

i wasnt asked to write to them. they told that they would send a text or letter to me stating the disconnection dates and things. (Sorry to hear you r leaving thingy...), but its been 2 weeks and nothing from them yet. they told it takes 30 days to disconnect and so i m thnking whether it wud take them more time to write to me. but I am also thnking whether they didnt put me on disconnection. So I might speak to them today and check it.
Is there anyone here who got a letter for disconnection? (btw I asked to cancel the current number).
