I have a new N80 and have sync'd it with outlook 2003 contacts. This has worked well and I can make calls OK. When I receive calls only the number is displayed-not the callers name? Caqn this be corrected?I haqve transferred numbers to SIM card but there is still no name display.
In all likelihood, you have duplicate contacts with the same numbers. In that case when a call comes in, the phone does not know which name to show, so it shows none.
When you recive the call the number is displayed with your country code. When you added your contact you didnt enter the code. This could be another way.
At last a nseries phone im truely happy with THE N82
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately no. I've tried manipulating the country code and replacing the leading zero of the mobile number with +61 ...but no luck.
Solved! Removing duplicates from the contacts list and using a consistent number format resolves the issue and displays names with incoming calls and messages. Many thanks to the clever folks who responded and best wishes to all for the festive season!
