Hello, I've noticed that when i first got my nokia n8. The RAM i had right after booting with no programs open was 165 mb. Now, in those same conditions, it is 152 mb. I haven't saved anything to drive C nor have i installed any program sin that drive either. I'm at a lost to wear that 13 mb disappeared to. Please help.
Thank you...

The RAM is the processing memory, the more 'stuff' running the more RAM used, my phone becomes inoperable with about 20 apps open (which isn't sensible anyway, just tried to see !) I really wouldn't get obsessed with available RAM, just use and enjoy the phone, as long as it's working smoothly, there isn't a problem, re-starting it will always return you to the maximum available, and don't leave things running you don't need/want to use.
Good Luck

Empty your sent emails folder. More frequently if you send lots of photos and videos.

TBH I think that under certain circumstances the N8 can suffer from memory leaks and some apps leave ghost processes, that cause issues down the line
there's an app called ramblow in the ovi store for £8 that's expensive for an OVI app but which makes a notable improvement in the phones performance

I used RamBlow on my N97 and it works really well, but so far have seen no reason to try it on the E7 which tends to stay smooth and quick whatever I do ![]()
