I have been on the phone to Nokia for like 45 minutes and I found the woman quiet useless. I don’t know how many times I had to explain my problem and in the end I gave up as we were getting nowhere.
My issue is that, yesterday I went to take some photos of my sisters newborn. When I clicked the snapshot button my phone popped up a message saying my memory was full. I went to the options and changed to my memory card to save the photographs.
These new pictures were saved ok. Today I went to view all my photographs but only the new ones are there. The previous photographs I had before that were saved on the phone memory are no where to be found!?
Can any one help me identify where these pictures have gone? Or can I roll back say 30 hours and have the images back again?
I really want these pictures back as there were some here that I had no backups of.

Have you tried using the phones memory card in a PC to see if that shows the pictures?

I did put the name of the phone in the title. Sorry.
Its a Nokia N97 Mini.
I have also plugged the phone into hte PC but only the new pictures are there.
I used to have the option when i plugged the phone in for something like
Internal Memory, Mass Memory and Memory card.
Now i only have memory card to view.

Its weird, as i say i when i used to plug the phone in i had the option of about 3 different save places on my phone to view on the PC. Now i only have the one.
I have just gone to Mass Memory and i get the message again (i actually read this time) and it says that the memory is getting full and i need to move some of the stored information to the memory card.
But i cant see my Mass Memory on the phone or PC?
Does that help?

I have just googled my issue and it seems that others have the same problem that when they updated to the latest firmware it uses up all your mass memory.
Do you know a way i can role back my phone to 48 hrs ago or anything?

I do have one thats close by so i will have to take a drive over there.
If the memory has become corrupt due to this upgrade can they get what was saved back or is it gone?
If it has i will be on the phone to Nokia again looking for some answers as i will be so angry!!!

So really if this firmware is the issue Nokia have screwed me and the others that i have read about over a treat!!
Surely they cant justify this?
Do you know if they would hold my images on some kind of central point or anything?

Without knowing the details or seeing your phone (or how you treat it) it's impossible to say. For example it's quite easy to corrupt your mass memory yourself by not being careful when removing it from a computer.
Your images will only be held somewhere off the phone if you have uploaded them yourself to such a service.
Give the nokia care point a call, they may be able to help you. They may advise you to hard reset the phone which i'm reluctant to do. If you want to try it just google "hard reset N97".
If you feel you have been wronged by Nokia you will need to call nokia care and ask for the official complaints address.

@matticox1985 - In your very first post you are telling that it happened after you switched over to Memory card to save your photos.. In subsequent posts the Firmware upgrade issue is highlighted... so when did the problem actually take place ? If its after the upgrade then why didn't you follow the thumb rule of taking back-up before going for it ??? It would have saved you from all this trouble..
And did you check after re-booting the phone as suggested by psychomania ? Reboot your PC too...
