Well, ive not been in the forums for a good two weeks now, thinking my phone isnt going to fail me anymore than it already has, and then this morning it did, again! Todays problem is the alarm clock, which i can see there are a couple of posts on this topic already but no real replies or if anyone has a solution. I have three alarms set for the morning, 4:15am, 4:20am and 4:30am. This morning the first alarm failed to even go off, the second one off as it should, but then the third alarm chose to go off at 4:34 and around 30 seconds. I was not impressed with this as alarm failure could cause me to loose my job if im late. Ive read a few people have the 4 second delay happen on theres, has anyone had an alarm set and not go off at all? Ive had the phone for just over 2 months now and this is the first time its happened.

Can anyone shed a light on this?

ok do you keep your phone on at all times even during charge overnite? if not, keep it on on charge overnite 

also consider installing this on your phone

it states for 3rd ed, but i know users that have installed it on thier 5th ed devices and it works just fine for them.

there is no other solutions for this issue at the moment

Yeah its never off unless it freezes or needs reset for whatever reason. I find i pretty much need to charge the phone every single night, some days with light use i dont need to charge it, but most days its on charge over night. I shall give the app you linked me to a try. 

Ive installed and sync'd the time which was 2 minuets out so i shall do some tests on the alarms today before it maybe let me down in the morning.

The alarm clock issue is a real bummer i have got round it by setting my times before the times i need to get up at

Sadly I had the problem of a delay of the alarm - 5 minutes - delay in the last 2 days.. I set up the alarm to 07:30 and it started 07:35 the following day I set it up to 08:00 and it started at 08:05 !!!

I had this problem earlier when I just got the phone, and unfortunately it came back again yesterday and today.

Any advise ?

I have the same problem.  Even after a firmware update to version 20.x.x it still hangs and sets the alarm off when it wants.  I cant wait to get rid of this phone.  It crashes, the alarm does not work (I too have been late for work because of this pile of Sugar Honey Ice Tea).  Nothing seems to work without the phone going slow.  Nokia dont seem bothered about sorting any issues, all you get it  "Have you tried a hard reset?".

It looks like the new Iphone or the Sony Ericsson X2 when it comes out. 

I have just set the alarm on my Nokia 6210 for the morning.  I may as well just use that phone instead.  It never crashed.

Thanks and goodbye Nokia.  I hope you go bust and have to shut down for messing us all around like this, it will serve you right for not helping us with this phone and also releasing the N900 just after we have all purchased this pile of rubbish.

Well I got the same problem with my phone....and I not expected this basic issue with a 500 pound phone....this is too much!

Is there anything what is working fine on this phone????
