Nokia N96 GPS Power Save

Hello people,

 

When I use the GPS function on my N96, after a couple of minutes, the phone goes to screen saver/ power save mode, which kills the GPS connection.

 

This means that when I'm driving in my car and leave the unit on the dashboard, it goes to sleep, defeating the objective of a SatNav.

 

I've tried turning off the screen saver, deactivating power save mode and maximising the idling time options.

 

Are there any solutions to the problem?

Open Maps menu... Click the 'Spanner icon'-->Navigation-->Backlight--Select 'Always On'...
