Did you try the three finger hard boot?

I think that most service centres do not have "loaners" however why not say to them - "hey you must have some old phone arounf here that I can use while you fix mine.. cmon. Ill give you a ten pound deposit on the old phone ". They MUST have sone old phone you can use.

Experiencing exactly the same problems - with a few extra gremlins - persistent beeping in the earpiece when calling, keypad locking up, volume control not responsive. This is my third replacement & have tried all solutions (software update, reset, hdd formatting) but no luck. Interested to hear if you solve.

well i went and picked up my brand new n91
they exchanged my fone so it muct have been well battered ?
