The Nokia N900 looks like a mighty fine pho.. oops, I mean internet tablet, but in some ways it looks like Nokia has failed again.
1 - Why are resistive touch screens still being included with all new phones? Capacitive touch screens are far superior tech and don't even cost that much more! I'm no expert on Maemo so maybe it doesn't support multi-touch, but it would be nice to have the hardware to support it; the software can always be updated later.
2 - 1320mAh battery? Whyyyyyyyyy? This device is being touted as an internet tablet, so one would assume it would include a battery that is going to be able to handle large amounts of internet usage.. yet they have taken a step down from the N97's perfect 1500mAh battery.
Discuss.

Resistive screens are hardly a party stopper. I used to have an iPhone before the N97 and I cannot say I miss multi-touch. I hardly ever used it to be honest.
It's not just about the multi-touch though, capacative screens are so much more responsive than resistive ones.
The capacitive touch screen + multi-touch is what I miss most about my iPhone!

i have an itouch and n97. tho smooth in some aspects it gets annoying at times to use itouch and never use mutlitouch. so no big loss there .
in terms of superiority hmmm that is always debatable

have a read of those and then decide what is what truly

Capacitive touchscreens:
- Better visibility in sunlight.
- Touches are more accurate.
- More resistant to scratches as glass is usually used as the outer layer.
In that comparison the only benefits for resistive are 1) you can use a stylus with them and 2) they operate in a wider range of temperatures. Only one of those counts because special styluses can still work with capacitive touchscreens - google "pogo iPhone stylus"
