Nokia N86

I am very frustrated with Nokia N86 . after spending so much money this phone after 6 months one problem after another. Now music player and images wont work. when images finally opens it wont show all pictures. music player keeps showing 'general sytem error and deleting all songs. sometimes i get messsage, fault with back ground display or something. I have had N series, 70, 72, 73 and 82. with N73 i aslo had issues and had to junk it. I especially like the radio transmitter function on N86. what do i do. new firmware makes no difference. If i find another smartphone with over 5mp and radio transmitter i will leave nokia phones for good. too many bugs.

Re: Nokia N86

likely a corrupted system file. Make a backup of your important files, pictures and songs, copy them onto your PC, and make a backup of your contacts, messages and calendar on your PC as well. remove the memory card

1. Format the mass memory - this will delete everything inside it, along with possible corrupted system files

2. Type in *#7370# - this will do a complete wipe of your phone memory, and will also delete the system files.

After the following procedures, your phone should work as new. However if you restore, settings and files, the problems could return. There should be no problems with your phone in the future unless you manage to corrupt system files again.

and if you have a card memory inside the phone format that one as well, and remember to not restore any settings or files you've previously backed up before your hard rest. you should  be good after that.
